| Front loader is self-propelled loading and unloading machine which is designed for the loading of free-flowing and lump materials (including loose semi-rocks or rocks), carrying out of earth moving works on the soils of different categories with soil dumping or loading onto the transport facilities, sites planning, moving of the gravel and other materials onto the small distances, as well as other road building, mounting and lifting works.

| Irreplaceable workers during earth moving works in the construction are crawler dozers which carry out up to the half of the volumes of all earth moving works. The dozers are designed for the layer-by-layer digging of soils in bed rocks deposition and their simultaneous moving by dragging along the earth surface to dumping place. The dozers are used for back filling of trenches and foundation pits, erection of dumps from deep reserves soils or by longitudinal dragging, rough planning of earth surfaces, as well as for preparatory works: felling of stand-alone trees, cutting of bushes, rooting out of single stumps and stones etc. They are used also for distribution of soil dumps during excavators and earth carrying machines operation, terraces formation on the hill sides, piling of loose materials and their delivery to processing units, for access making works and as scraper pushers. The dozers are used for the operation on various thawed, as well as frozen grounds which are preliminarily made light. The operation capability of the dozer is determined by the maneuverability of the basic tractor along the ground surfaces with the development of driving force which is necessary for operation of the mouldboard. Some types of dozers can work on the bogs and under the water, in mountain open pits, in agriculture and forestry. The dozers consist of tractor on which the dozer's equipment is mounted in the front part, and additional attachments, for instance, ripper, pull winch, excavation equipment etc. in the rear part of the tractor that significantly expands the machines' performance.
